Article(s) publié(s) dans l’eBook: Min Ji Kim studied, during her PhD, the adipose tissue dysfunctions in obesity and antiretroviral therapy-induced lipodystrophies at the University of Paris 6 and at INSERM. These diseases shares some common features among which the low-grade adipose tissue inflammation. During her postdoctoral fellowship at INSERM U747, she studied and determined the pro-inflammatory effects of pollutants which explain a possible contribution of pollutants in the pathogenesis of metabolic diseases. She is now an Associate Professor at Paris 13 and at INSERM U1124, keep on exploring the obesogen and metabolic effects of pollutants by combining animal and cell models in order to understand the role of environmental factors in the increasing incidence of metabolic diseases. |
