Samuele Cortese, M.D., Ph.D., is Consultant Child Psychiatrist at the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Foundation Trust, UK, Honorary Clinical Associate Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Nottingham, UK and Adjunct Associate Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the w York University, NY, USA.
Dr. Cortese’s main interests include the neurobiology of ADHD and the implementation of evidence based medicine in child psychiatry. A specific focus of his research is the association between obesity and ADHD. Dr. Cortese is a member of European ADHD guidelines group. He is also Contributing Editor of the Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Dr. Cortese has published more than 100 peer-reviewed papers, including articles as first author in prestigious journals such as the American Journal of Psychiatry, Biological Psychiatry, Pediatrics, the British Journal of Psychiatry and the Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
