Claudine Junien, PharmD, PhD, is Professor Emeritus of Medical Genetics (PU-PH) Faculté de médecine Paris-Ouest, Université Versailles St Quentin (UVSQ), Formerly Director of the Inserm Unit U 383 « Genetics Chromosome and Cancer » in hôpital Necker – Enfants malades, Paris. (1993-2005) and co-director of U781 (2006-2009). Presently Group Leader of « Nutritional epigenomic programming of metabolic syndrome » at Inra, Jouy-en-Josas, in the unit of biology of development and reproduction. (2009 – )

Research : Since 2002, she pioneered research in the new field of the Developmental Origins of Health and Disease (DOHAD). The overarching goal is to elucidate how epigenetics marks and machinery keep sex-specific (parent, offspring) memory of early developmental beneficial/deleterious environmental impacts.

Author of 262 publications (Pubmed) and of books-chapters and reviews, 421 (Web of Science): H Index 59. Since 2006 – 15: published 22 reviews, organized international (9) and national (5) conferences/meeting, and was invited for conferences/plenary lectures (117) & courses (53).
Founder and President (2012-15) of the SF-DOHaD “Société Francophone pour la recherche et l’éducation sur les Origines Développementales, Environnementales et Epigénétiques de la Santé et des Maladies3; sf-dohad@jouy.inra.fr, Member of OSSD, of EUGenMed (European Gender Medecine), and member of the Board of the International DOHaD society. She conducts a group focusing on “sexual dimorphism” for the Academy of medecine and Academy of Sciences.
